A Personnel Management Practitioner acknowledges that:

1. He will uphold the standards of his profession, continually search for new truths and disseminate his findings. He will keep himself fully informed of developments in the field of human resource management and share with others in this knowledge.

2. He has obligation to his employer, whose truth he holds. He will endeavor, to the best of his ability, to guard the interest of every employer and to advise him wisely and honestly.

3. He has an obligation to society to deal fairly and openly with his fellow workers.

4. He also has an obligation to society arising from his personal and company relations for the enhancement of the social and economic life of the nation.

5. He has a continuing obligation to his country and to the chosen way of life of his fellow citizens.

6. He shall uphold before the public at all times the dignity of the personnel management profession and shall protect it from misrepresentation or misunderstanding. He shall strive for truth in regard to official queries.

7. He shall avoid being associated with any enterprise which is of a questionable character and shall not engage in any practice which in contrary to law or good morals, public policy, or detrimental to public welfare.

8. He shall not take undue advantage of his position for self-aggrandizement or self-gratification.

9. He shall be discreet in giving pertinent information to his colleagues and shall always respect the confidential information that may come to him in the performance of his duties.

10. He shall avoid any conduct which shall project the profession in a bad light of cast aspersion on his personal integrity or on the personnel management profession.

11. He shall not hesitate to engage, or advise his employer to engage the services of other experts or specialists on problems in which his information of experience is inadequate.

12. He shall endeavor to promote the professional development and advancement of human resource management practitioners.
