Gerardo A. Plana
Gerardo A. Plana or “Gerry” as known to friends and colleagues has had more than 25 years in the field of human resource management and organization development. In the HR and OD field, Gerry is considered an all around professional having had extensive experience as HR Consultant to more than 100 organizations and having occupied the top HR post in a sugar, pharmaceutical, and telecoms company in the Philippines.
At present, Gerry is the Executive Director of the Personnel Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) – the leading HR organization in the Philippines with a membership base of 1,700 corporate members throughout the country. As Executive Director, he acts as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Association and thus responsible for overseeing the work of more than 25 active committees.
Aside from being Executive Director of PMAP, he holds other positions as well:
- Secretary General, Asia-Pacific Federation of Human Resource Management (APFHRM)
- Project Leader, Investor In People, Philippines
- Board Director, Career Executive Service Board
- Project Director, Work-Life Balance Project of PMAP
Gerry is a Fellow in Personnel Management awarded by the Society of Fellows of the Personnel Management Association of the Philippines and a Certified Professional in Human Resource, awarded by the International Public Management Association (A U.S. Based HR Association).
