Warmest felicitations to the offices and staff of the People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) on your Second General Membership Meeting 2008 and Induction of New Officers and Board of Directors.
Through this event with the theme, “Enhancing Philippine Global Competitiveness through People,” human resource management practitioners and managers from the different sectors of society can exchange their know-how, skills and expertise. This will give you a chance to help strengthen our industries’ competitiveness both locally and abroad. Indeed your efforts to manage and handle our work force are laudable.
I ask you to keep on pursuing your goals and work with me in bringing the benefits of a strong economy to every Filipino even as we put in place the infrastructure needed to attract more investments, create more jobs and beat poverty.
We should keep the momentum of our economy that has registered a 7.3 per cent growth in 2007, the highest in 31 years. And you in the human resource development sector have a role to play in sustaining this growth.
